Alex Hodgkin has built his career as an entrepreneur, strategist, and capital markets specialist. He began in investment banking with Salomon Smith Barney and later Headwaters MB, completing strategic alternative reviews, liquidity strategies, sell-side advisory assignments, and capital markets transactions.

Hodgkin later cofounded Intrinsic, a financial advisory firm that grew from a kitchen-table concept into one of the largest firms of its kind in the Rocky Mountains. The firm now serves leading institutional investment firms and privately held companies.

A long-standing supporter of entrepreneurship through acquisition (ETA), Hodgkin has been instrumental in the creation of Chicago Booth’s ETA program, where he serves as entrepreneur-in-residence and senior advisor. He holds undergraduate degrees in economics and electrical engineering from Claremont McKenna College and the University of Colorado, respectively, an MBA from Chicago Booth, and is a CFA charterholder.
