Brian O’Connor is founder and managing partner of NextGen Growth Partners (NGP), a private equity firm focused on partnering with entrepreneur-operators to acquire and grow small businesses.
O’Connor previously served as co-CEO of Innflux, a hospitality IT services company acquired through his search fund, Fellowship Capital Partners. Innflux grew significantly before being sold in 2015. Earlier, he was a vice president at Equity International, a middle-market growth private equity fund.
He teaches entrepreneurship through acquisition at Chicago Booth as an adjunct associate professor. He also serves as board member and treasurer of Distinctively College Bound, a nonprofit supporting extracurricular access for students. O’Connor holds a double major in finance and management information systems from Miami University (Ohio) and an MBA from Chicago Booth.
