Jose Pablo Fernandez
José Pablo Fernández and his partner, Germán, launched Domo Capital in 2016 after meeting at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Two years later, they acquired Heineken’s ice facility in Mexico and rebranded it as Aguafría.
Over the next five years, they executed an aggressive roll-up strategy, acquiring nineteen ice companies and transforming Aguafría into the largest ice business in Mexico. In late 2024, Aguafría’s shareholders agreed to sell 100 percent of the company to Reddy Ice, the leading ice producer in the United States.
Following the sale, Fernández has been actively investing in search funds, private equity, and venture-backed companies in the sports, media, and entertainment sectors.
