Lou Kenter, a co-founder of the firm, is a veteran lower-middle-market investor with more than 25 years of experience investing in small companies. As a Founding Principal, he is involved in all aspects of investment sourcing, execution, and management.
At Prospect Partners, Lou currently is involved with six portfolio companies: Education Futures Group, LLC, Minuteman Holdings, LLC, Navix Holdings Corp., Owen Equipment Holdings Corp., Prospect Pools Group, LLC, and Velocity Aerospace Holding Group.
Lou's outside board positions include chairmanships of three privately-owned manufacturing companies: AMS, Inc, JBC Holding Co., and WB Manufacturing.
Prior to co-founding Prospect Partners in 1998, Lou was the Principal of buyout firm Kenter and Co. Before that, he held positions at Marquette Venture Partners, McKinsey & Company, and Skidmore, Owings, and Merrill.
Lou earned a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, with Honors, from the University of Illinois, and an M.B.A from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
