Matthias Smith is the founder and owner of Pioneer Capital Advisory, a commercial loan brokerage firm that helps business buyers (searchers) that are using SBA 7(a) financing for their business acquisitions with navigating the financing process. The firm was started in May of 2022 after he spent ~ 7 years working at four different SBA banks in middle office / deal execution roles. The banks included Byline Bank and Live Oak Bank, two of the top 10 nationally ranked SBA lenders in addition to two Wisconsin-based banks. Since May of 2022, Pioneer Capital Advisory has helped 57 business buyers navigate through the SBA 7(a) financing process for business acquisitions in industries including, but not limited to e-commerce, commercial HVAC, commercial roofing, landscaping companies, and everything across the board. Matthias also invests in ETA deals through search funds periodically to give back to the space.
