Nick Lee
Nick Lee is originally from San Jose, California and grew up competing in both individual and team sports. Wrestling and powerlifting instilled in him a deep sense of discipline and personal performance, while football taught him the importance of camaraderie and shared purpose. Together, these experiences shaped his leadership style—balancing individual accountability with a strong appreciation for team success.
Before joining NGP, Nick served eight years as a U.S. Army Armor Officer, holding leadership roles across the United States, Korea, and Europe. His experience included commanding tank units, overseeing maintenance operations, and serving in strategic planning positions. He concluded his service as a Tank Company Commander, leading a company of 100 soldiers and managing a fleet of heavy vehicles, trucks, generators, and maintenance equipment. These roles strengthened his ability to build trust under pressure, lead diverse teams, and sustain mission-critical operations in demanding environments.
Following his military service, Nick earned his MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management, where he majored in finance and marketing and served as president of both the Kellogg Veterans Association and the Cork & Screw Wine Club. He also holds a B.S. in Information Technology from the United States Military Academy at West Point and an M.S. in Data Science from Eastern University.
Outside of work, Nick enjoys exploring new breweries, attempting to teach his cat tricks, and reading science fiction and fantasy novels.
